The Organisation

The Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute is Australia’s newest cancer research institute, where scientists and researchers are discovering and developing breakthrough cancer therapies to assist patients by providing them with best health outcomes. 

They currently have over 200 clinical trials in progress, providing access to new, breakthrough therapies. They also run wellness & supportive care programs to help people address the challenges of cancer beyond their medical treatment.

The Position

You will be taking on the role of Executive Assistant & Project Officer, assisting and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Managing the busy, dynamic diary of the COO, coordinating meetings directly with stakeholders
  • Inbox management, triaging emails and raising urgent requirements
  • Assisting on key projects and initiatives for the organisation, tracking their progress, conducting research, actioning items or following up with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Sitting in on executive meetings, setting agendas and action items 
  • Assisting with events, including planning and execution
  • Drafting documentation, presentations and other correspondence

About you:

  • Have demonstrated Executive Assistant experience
  • Experience with project coordination or management would be advantageous
  • Possess exceptional organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
  • Attention to detail across all tasks and documentation
  • High-level computer skills and literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office products and Video Conferencing platforms
