Job description
- **Volunteer - unpaid position**
- This can be a remote role via Zoom
JCJ is looking for a General Committee Member who is passionate about our work. If you would enjoy adding your unique perspective to committee discussions, and helping run the organisation then this opportunity is perfect for you.
Your interest areas can include:
- Climate justice
- International development
- Humanitarian aid
- Asia-Pacific region
As a General Committee Member, your responsibilities will include:
- Availability to attend most of the monthly committee meetings during the course of the year (mostly through Zoom)
- Possessing general computer literacy - e.g. email, WhatsApp, Zoom, etc.
- Being proactive in responding to group discussions
- Being a good team player, as you will be working closely with your fellow committee members and other members of the organisation
- Working well independently and without supervision
- Familiarising yourself with proposals and other written materials in preparation for monthly committee meetings
- Being generally available for JCJ work for 1 hour a week
Depending on your interests, we are happy for your help in the following areas:
- Website updating
- Writing quarterly newsletters
- Basic treasury assistance
- Creating social media posts

All training provided.
Hours a week - approximately 1 hour a week. Committee meetings go for approx 1 hour every month, usually on a weekday evening.
This role is for 1 year minimum.
