About the organisation

Jesuit Social Services works to build a just society. We stand in solidarity with those in need, expressing a faith that promotes justice. We work to build a just society where all people can live to their full potential by partnering with community to support those in need and working to change policies, practices, ideas and values that perpetuate inequality, prejudice and exclusion.

Jesuit Social Services has operated for 40 years, providing services to some of the most disadvantaged in our community. The organisation places a high priority on advocacy and is a leader in policy development and research.

About the program

Over the past ten years Jesuit Social Services has introduced a range of services to support people facing significant barriers to their active social and economic inclusion in our society through the creation of a seamless integrated employment and training pathway.

The development of effective pathways for people facing these barriers begins with a range of initiatives to increase their engagement and participation in services and programs which provide them not only the opportunity to be more actively and positively engaged in our community and society, but which provide a foundation for their further success.

These engagement programs are then linked to the services and programs of the Jesuit Community College, and subsequently to our wide range of employment support services.
