about us

Kandanga Farm Store is a farm supplies store and cafe focussing on regenerative and organic agriculture overlooking a certified organic beef property.

We are at Kandanga in the Mary Valley region of QLD, 2 hours north of Brisbane and 1 hour west of Noosa. Our closest regional centre is Gympie.

Our farmer customers are also our cafe suppliers, and an adaptable, creative Chef will thrive in this true Farm to Fork environment where you can pick ingredients straight from the garden as well as developing close relationships with other local farmers who also supply ingredients.

As well as our day to day menu we run special events and workshops. There is plenty of opportunity to make your own positive impact in this dynamic real food focussed business.

We seek a Head Chef to take charge of our kitchen and grow the cafe business. You will need experience as a head chef to be considered for this opportunity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and design menu based on seasonal fresh produce
  • Ensure efficient operation of the kitchen
  • Handle the rostering of cafe staff
  • Ensure profitability of cafe
  • Develop group bookings and event menus
  • Explore and cost opportunities for ongoing development

This is a full time position that includes weekend work. We also run a once monthly dinner.
