As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will be passionate about providing capacity building supports to support people to live a purposeful and meaningful life. You will be a strong communicator who can easily build rapport with people of all abilities.

As a Psychosocial Recovery Coach, you will provide support to people with psychosocial disability to increase their independence, social participation, and economic participation. Your clients will be assisted to take more control of their lives and to better manage complex challenges of day-to-day living. Through recovery-enabling relationships and skilled coaching, clients will be supported to build capacity, including strengths and resilience. Recovery coaches will work collaboratively with people, their families, carers, and other services to design, plan, implement and review a recovery plan.

This is position can be Full-Time or Part-Time depending on your lifestyle. It is an ongoing role, based in Geelong.

About You

Our ideal Psychosocial Recovery Coach will meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum Cert IV in Mental Health or other relevant qualification.
  • Proven experience working with people with a mental health diagnosis.
  • Proven experience delivering person-centred, strength based and/or recovery oriented models of service.
  • Demonstrated ability to network with local service providers.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational, technology and administrative abilities.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Current NDIS Worker Orientation Module or willingness to complete.
  • Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless you are an Excepted Person as defined by the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions. All applicants must therefore be able to comply with this requirement.
