Job Description

This role is an exciting first for Edge and a unique opportunity in the Australian market. You will be joining Edge’s newest team, Sustainability Leadership & Communications where no two days will be the same.

Inspired by the ‘decade of action’ and born out of the need to translate sustainability into a compelling proposition to investors, employees, and customers, our goal is to create a world where action on sustainability issues happens faster because sustainability is embedded in how organisations think, act and show up.

The role, reporting to the Head of Sustainability Leadership & Communications, is for an experienced professional to lead client projects, relationships, and leadership and transformation-focused deliverables for a diverse range clients.

The work is fast-paced, highly varied, and provides a unique opportunity for the right person to make a difference to the sustainability landscape in Australia and New Zealand.

The role carries the opportunity to shape and refine the offer as well as to build Edge’s reputation in new and exciting places with the flexibility to work from Sydney or Melbourne.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who can help shape and deliver projects that help organisations navigate their way to leadership in sustainability. We’re looking for someone with the following skills:

• Transformation and change management – behaviour change, transformation projects, systems thinking, or theory of change best practices and experience putting them into practice.
• Sustainability reporting – experience in using reporting frameworks such as GRI Standards and developing credible and audience-led sustainability reports.
• Positioning and communications – purpose and positioning, internal and external communications strategies and activations such as campaigns, events, toolkits and guides, speechwriting, thought-leadership, annual and sustainability reporting, packaging, PR, digital experiences, and social media.
• Corporate affairs – experience in corporate affairs teams or roles, specifically joining the dots between sustainability and external stakeholders, such as government and investors.
• Creativity – working with or for a creative agency, briefing creatives and delivering projects on time and on budget.

Regardless of your skills and experience, we are looking for a rockstar who:

• Gets a kick out of managing complex projects and delivering them on time and within budget
• Is known for your positive attitude, has strong interpersonal skills, and sees yourself as a trusted advisor to colleagues and clients
• Prides yourself on your strong verbal and written communications, including facilitation of workshops with senior stakeholders
• Has a point of view on sustainability including key trends, best practices and challenges and opportunities for change
• Is able to navigate complex client challenges (even if you don’t know the answer) and can lead a team and project partners to success.
