Kyabra Community Association Inc. provides strengths based integrated responses to people in our community. Service work involves partnership with individuals and families to identify goals, develop strategies and evaluate outcomes.

This may include support and advocacy through the systems which significantly impacts on individual and family lives, such as; domestic violence; child protection; income support; housing; mental health and healthcare; disability; education and legal, parenting and early years.

Due to recent structural changes to better support staff and our community, Kyabra now has some new exciting positions that have a focus across housing, homelessness and DFV and are a part of our improved integration strategies across the organisation.

The Coordinator - Keys to Early Intervention Homelessness Service (KEIHS) will work with the Manager based at our Nambour office to coordinate and support case-workers in six sites across the region, to deliver services to ensure people who are at risk of homelessness are supported to maintain their accommodation. This position will provide support to the KEIHS Workers to collaborate with key stakeholders in each location such as Centrelink, real estate agents, QSTARS and other relevant agencies. The Coordinator will be involved with local networks to support at-risk individuals and families in each location. This role also involves participating in an on-call roster.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Social Community Home Care and Disability Services Award, Level 5 $41.89 per hour. We also offer salary packaging to permanent employees, a family friendly work environment and a range of practice and professional development opportunities.

A Bachelor Degree in Social Work/Human Services or similar is an essential requirement for this role.
