Based in Subiaco, we are seeking an experienced Nurse, specialising within Residential Aged Care settings to deliver education and support through mentoring, as a key component in the provision of the Residential Aged Care Excellence in Palliative Care Program (RACEPC).

Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, reviewing tailoring, planning, evaluating and promoting RACEPC Workshops
  • Developing, reviewing tailoring, planning, evaluating and promoting RACEPC Mentoring program
  • Leading the engagement of Residential Aged Care (RAC) providers in engaging with and committing to the implementation of RACEPC program with in their facilities
  • Developing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

  • Tertiary qualification in Nursing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in Residential Aged Care
  • Experience in training/education delivery
  • Palliative Care experience will be highly regarded
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level relationship management skills
  • Experience in mentoring staff will be highly regarded
  • Experience in building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • High level organisational skills and able to work under pressure with demonstrated ability to lead/work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
  • Able to work independently as well as demonstrating strong teamwork
  • Ability to influence others to achieve beneficial outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking and report writing
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Positive approach to the workplace

This position is part-time 0.8FTE, requests for 0.6FTE – 1.0FTE may be considered.

This role requires some travel, with access to a pool vehicle for work-related travel. A laptop will also be provided for work-related purposes.
