Shoalhaven River College is a small alternative high school commencing operation in Bomaderry in January 2019. Shoalhaven River College is auspiced by Kiama Community College Ltd, a successful not for profit adult education provider, operating in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven regions for more than 30 years.

The school provides NESA curriculum education to 60 Stage 5 & 6 students This low fee school caters for students, that for various reasons, have not successfully engaged, or felt comfortable, in a mainstream setting. The school is not a behavioural school and has its own dedicated premise.

We are currently recruiting a Student Learning Support Officer who will:

  • Support the school program and the SRC team in the continual delivery of education and learning opportunities that meet the needs of participating students enrolled at SRC.
  • Be involved in working with student needs either in a one on one, small group or whole class situation.
  • Ensure a student-centred, outcomes focused approach is maintained to ensure both academic achievement and student wellbeing are progressed.
  • Work collaboratively with all SRC staff to ensure SRC’s success and continual improvement.
