About the role
Kids First Australia have an exciting Team Leader role working within NEMA Orange Door; a multi-agency hub that delivers high quality, safe and effective responses, in partnership with Family Safety Victoria (FSV).
In your new role, you will:
- Lead a team of multi-agency practitioners to deliver high quality, safe, and effective service responses for women and children seeking support through the Orange Door.
- Support practitioners to deliver screening, triage, assessment, crisis responses, service planning, targeted interventions, allocation and coordinated referrals consistent with the Integrated Practice Framework, Operational Guidelines, and relevant risk assessment tools and frameworks including MARAM and Best Interests Framework.
- Meet team service delivery performance and data reporting requirements.
- Foster excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Drive formal supervision, and yearly agency performance development reviews of Kids First staff.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or similar field.
- No less than 3 years' experience working the child welfare and/or family violence sectors.
- Experience working with families and children presenting with complex needs and risk issues in any of the following areas: Family Services, Child Protection, Intake and Assessment and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Leadership experience required
