We are looking for a talented Program Manager to lead our existing and new programs at our hub location in Paddington, Sydney, and our school programs around Greater Sydney. Reporting to the CEO, the Program Manager is a key member of the small but passionate core organisational team and is responsible for the overall implementation and delivery of the Kids Giving Back programs. These include community programs for families and children to cook meals and volunteer for those in need, corporate team building programs centred around volunteering, and school excursions and incursion programs in schools across Greater Sydney.

The ideal Program Manager of Kids Giving Back will have the opportunity to make their mark, but must have the right mix of experience, skills and values.

Can you demonstrate:

  • An understanding of the value of volunteering
  • Experience in the education sector (Degree or equivalent experience)
  • Strategic thinking
  • All-round program delivery experience (5 years’ program management, facilitation and public speaking) including developing and running school programs
  • Proven track record establishing community partnerships and strong stakeholder engagement
  • Professional experience working with children and teens
  • Strong organisational skills and outstanding communication
  • Experience delivering programs for grants under funding guidelines
  • Experience leading teams and training facilitators or program staff
  • Working with Children Check and up to date vaccination status

Benefits and Remuneration

Kids Giving Back runs multiple programs and in multiple locations, including over weekends and school holidays. The Program Manager is expected to have a flexible schedule and in return, a flexible workplace, including some work from home, flexible hours and time in lieu arrangements are offered.

Permanent part-time: 32 hours/week with accrued annual leave

Salary level: SCHADS 6
