Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation (RRKAC) are seeking a highly experienced Manager, Community to join their Management Team. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, the Manager, Community will be responsible for ensuring that RRKAC’s community activities and programs align to RRKAC’s strategic and operational plans, managing and mentoring the community and member support staff, and supporting the delivery of strategic programs and projects that contribute to the independence and wellbeing of Robe River Kuruma (RRK) people.
RKKAC is an Aboriginal organisation, with over 400 members aged 18+. Based in Karratha, Western Australia, the organisation’s vision is to work together as a community to establish a solid foundation towards independence, community wellbeing, cultural identity and healthy Country now and for future generations.
Robe River Kuruma Aboriginal Corporation (RRKAC) is the registered native title body corporate for Robe River Kuruma (RRK) native title determined areas.
The Manager, Community is responsible for overseeing the initiation, development and implementation of education, employment, seniors, housing, health and youth programs, and the wrap around services and personal support and advocacy provided to members. The role monitors the Member Support Program that provides targeted funding to meet the needs of members. The Manager, Community will work in partnership with local community support networks to leverage local resources and ensure equitable service access for RRK people. The Manager, Community will also have oversight of the Waba Mangan Community Hub and the delivery of the community programs and events held within the Hub, and general community events on behalf of RRKAC as an organisation.
The Manager, Community will coach and mentor all direct reports, ensuring the team understand their role in delivering activities and outcomes aligned to the RRK Strategic Plan, encouraging growth and high performance, and leading by example.
This role will suit a committed, high-performing individual with extensive community development background and demonstrated ability to deliver high impact community programs.
