Kerrie Neighbourhood House Inc. runs two Neighbourhood Houses; one at Kerrie Road in Glen Waverley and the other, since July 2017, at the Wellington Reserve Community Centre in Mackie Road, Mulgrave.

We are seeking an efficient, community-minded and self-motivated office/administration worker to provide a friendly and welcoming environment at our Kerrie Rd site in Glen Waverley to ensure the smooth running of daily classes and groups for many age groups.

The successful applicant will ideally have previous office/administration experience, a demonstrable record of excellent MS Office and customer database knowledge, and strong organisational and multi-tasking skills. Exceptional people and communication skills are essential.

The office/ administration role will report directly to the coordinator and may be asked to work at both sites (Glen Waverley and Mulgrave).

This position is Permanent Part-Time for 22 hours per week for 40 weeks of the year (school terms only, with 4 weeks’ annual leave), with a current contract variation for an additional 4.5 hours per week (subject to review).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Providing a welcoming environment for all members of the community.
• Handling course enquiries via phone, email and online bookings.
• Liaising with tutors, volunteers and students.
• Ensuring the House is well presented (clean, tidy and supplies stocked), and classrooms are set up appropriately.
• Handling room hire enquires and processing invoices.
• Ensuring the House website and Facebook page are up to date.
• Processing enrolments and payments.
• Ensuring the facility is safe and reporting any OH&S issues to the coordinator.
• Compiling the term program and statistics as directed by the coordinator.
