KU’s Allied Health Team are looking for Paediatric Speech Pathologists to join their teams based in Macarthur, CBD, Inner West and Eastern Suburbs!

You will be working with dedicated and skilled allied health professionals and experienced educators to provide support to children and families attending KU services.

You should have experience in the inclusion of children with additional needs in mainstream services and demonstrated ability to implement appropriate tools to assess children's communication skills and measure subsequent development over time.

Positions on offer are part-time (days and hours are negotiable) and full time (Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day accruing one monthly Rostered Day Off (RDO)).

the scope of your responsibilities will include:

  • Liaising with other professionals involved with children receiving speech pathology services.
  • Referring children receiving speech pathology services to other professionals and/or agencies when necessary, in consultation with families and centre staff.
  • Working collaboratively with all members of the Program team.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with external services such as Early Intervention Providers, other Allied Health professionals and mainstream educational and community services.
  • Administrating initial and review assessments with children and providing written strategies for communication support for the children in the home and centre environments.

To be considered for this role, it is essential you have:

  • Tertiary Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
  • Registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • NSW Working with Children Check
  • A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Driver Licence and your own reliable vehicle as this position would require some travel between services
  • Experience providing speech pathology services to children and families
  • Knowledge of NDIS
  • Experience working in a trans-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
