Exciting opportunities have become available in Maidstone for qualified Speech Pathologists who are looking to join a progressive team that aims to provide programs and services that are inclusive.

On offer are permanent full time and part time positions with full time positions acruing one monthly rostered day off (RDO).

The Role

As a member of the Allied Heath Team you will be working directly with children and families to delivery high quality occupational therapy to children and families based in Maidstone. Supported by experienced administrators and reporting directly to the Allied Health Manager, this is a wonderful opportunity to really make a difference in the lives of children.

We are seeking Pediatric Speech Pathologists to join our team in providing support and expertise for families of children from birth with developmental disability or developmental delay.

As a Speech Pathologist, you will have experience working with children with a disability or developmental delay. You will be flexible and able to manage a caseload that is based in KU services, you are able to work in a transdisciplinary team and have knowledge of NDIS.

Furthermore, the scope of your responsibilities will include:

• liaising with other professionals involved with children receiving speech pathology services where appropriate.
• referring children receiving speech pathology services to other professionals and/or agencies when necessary, in consultation with families and centre staff.
• working collaboratively with all members of the KU.
• developing and maintaining relationships with external services such as Early Intervention Providers, other Allied Health professionals and mainstream educational and community services.
• administrating initial and review assessments with children and providing written strategies for communication support for the children in the home and centre environments.

To be considered,it is required that you have the following:

• Tertiary Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent
• Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
• AHPRA registration
• Victorian Working with Children Check

The following is desirable but not essential;

• Experience providing speech pathology services to children and families
• Knowledge of NDIS
• Experience working in a transdisciplinary team
