Reporting to the Program Manager - IAP, you will provide effective leadership to the team, ensuring that Launch Housings' assessment, planning, prioritisation, intake and referral services are effective, consistent and of a high-quality, preferencing those with the highest acuity and most immediate needs, and critically building a jointly supportive approach to the work with your peers through establishing operational procedures which impact positively upon the teams' workflow.
You will assist in aligning team activities with the overall organisational goals and strategy, assisting staff to find meaning and motivation in how their job contributes to the greater good and our organisational effort contributes to better outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
Further and critically, you will actively contribute to building a greater sense of trust and collegiate respect among IAP staff at all sites in their work and approach of their peers and colleagues through establishing operational procedures which impact positively upon their work flow.
Our Initial Assessment & Planning (IAP) service is Launch Housing's first point of contact with our clients. The role of staff in this team is to provide assessment, information, prioritisation, referrals and emergency accommodation support to assist families and individuals to find short term accommodation and develop a plan to secure long-term and affordable housing. The service is extremely high volume, responding to the needs of people experiencing homelessness, many of whom are experiencing crisis. Therefore, we are looking for people who can work under pressure with the ability to make sound decisions quickly.

We are currently seeking a skilled & passionate individual, someone committed to working with people who are experiencing homelessness, or at risk of homelessness on their journey out of homelessness.
All applicants must have the right to work in Australia and will be required to complete a Working with Children Check and Police check.
