What you'll do

As Head of Finance, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (COO) and leading a team of 10, you will be responsible for the integrity of Launch Housing's financial results. You will play an integral role in driving positive change, process efficiency and continuous improvement within the finance function.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Empowering a diverse team, developing their skills and driving overall performance with strong emphasis on well-being, inclusion and belonging
  • Providing advice to operational and functional leaders on all aspects of financial operations, ensuring they have the information that they need and the skills required to take accountability for their financial performance
  • Ensuring the development and maintenance of a transparent, comprehensive and coherent suite of policies, procedures and work practices for the finance function
  • Developing and managing insightful budgeting, forecasting and business planning systems for presentation to management, Board, committees and other stakeholders

What we're looking for

As a leader you know it's your relationships with your team that will create success and your staff's wellbeing and development is of paramount importance to you. You get a kick out of seeing others succeed but you won't shy away from tough conversations when needed.

You're excited by change, you like to plan and dream big, but you know how to get things over the line and balance competing demands.

The successful candidate is expected to have:

  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Significant senior management experience including project management and delivery expertise
  • Extensive experience in financial management including financial reporting, financial modelling and financial analysis with experience gained in a highly professional consulting or organisational environment
  • Experience in leading transformational change within teams and organisational-wide
  • Absolute integrity
  • Self-directed, pro-active contributor who can plan effectively, meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills
