What you'll do

Our Dandenong site (Bob's Place) is a residential facility with services including temporary accommodation, case management of clients in transitional properties, and other services for families, couples and singles. Bob's Place includes 4 family units, 9 rooms for single persons and 2 for couples.

Reporting to the Case Management Coordinator, you will:

  • Assist with the immediate and ongoing support needs of clients experiencing or at risk of homelessness
  • Develop case plans with clients and implement strategies that enable clients to achieve their goals
  • Provide support through a range of environments including funded accommodation services, private housing or via assertive outreach
  • Ensure clients have access to income assistance, support and/or refer clients to more relevant services to assist in developing longer term housing options

What you'll bring

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in human services and experience working with complex clients with diverse needs
  • Understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with clients and external services
  • Capability to respond to and manage critical incidents
  • Valid driver's license

Note: Full COVID-19 vaccination or a valid Covid-19 Vaccination Exemption certificate, Working with Children and police checks are mandatory at Launch Housing.
