About CASACV:

CASACV is a dynamic organisation offering a suite of specialist services to clients and community across the central Victoria region. We provide 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, professional education and training, and research. We provide outreach services across the Loddon region including specialist services at Tarrengower Prison.

The Role:

This exciting position leads our specialised education and training program, delivering information and capacity building to a range of sectors and stakeholders on topics related to sexual assault, trauma, harmful sexual behaviours and family violence across the life course. The position ensures professionals and community members recognise the different forms of sexual violence, understand what drives it, and have the resources, information, and tools to respond to indicators and disclosures of sexual violence. The position leads the CASACV survivor advocate program; coordinate key advocacy campaigns, events, media and actions and contribute to social media commentary to strengthen community knowledge and activism.

About You:

You hold a tertiary qualification in education, community development or related field, and/or extensive experience working in community development/adult education setting and have an understanding of the gendered nature of violence and impacts of trauma across the life course. You possess exceptional professionalism, interpersonal and communication, with the ability liaise with a range of stakeholders. You have a sound background in group facilitation, including managing group dynamics, negotiating conflict and transforming understanding. You have a strong social advocacy background, with the ability to leverage opportunities to strengthen impact.
