About US:

CASACV is a dynamic organisation offering a suite of specialist services to clients and community across the central Victoria region. We provide 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, professional education and training, and research. We provide outreach services across the Loddon region including providing specialist services at Tarrengower Prison.

The Role:

As a Response Counsellor Advocate you will provide intake and assessment as well as short term counselling support for those impacted by sexual and family violence, and their supports.

The Response Team is the first point of contact for CASACV specialist therapeutic services; providing consistent, timely, client centred ‘continuity of care’ throughout the information seeking, intake, assessment, psycho-education, and referral management process. The team also delivers secondary and professional consults as well as group work.

About You:

You have a qualification (degree or above) as a Health Professional (Art Therapist, Family Therapist, Social Work or Psychology), have an understanding of the gendered nature of sexual and family violence and impacts of trauma across the life course. You possess exceptional professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills who can work well individually as well as in a team.
