ABOUT CASACV

CASACV facilitates the recovery and healing of victim-survivors of sexual violence and assault and works towards the prevention and elimination of sexual violence in society. CASACV delivers specialist evidenced-based therapeutic services across the Central Victorian Region for children, young people and adults, and their support networks.

CASACV’s services are free and confidential and include:

  • Specialist counselling to adults, young people and children who have experienced sexual assault and/or family violence either recently or in the past, and to their non-offending parents, partners, family and friends.
  • A 24-hour crisis care response to victims of recent sexual assault, including crisis counselling, support and advocacy, and access to medical care and justice services.
  • A family focused, prevention and early intervention therapeutic service to children and young people under the age of 18 who have engaged in problematic or harmful sexualised behaviours (HSB) via the REFOCUS Program.
  • Specialised advocacy, secondary consultation, community education and professional training across the sector and within the community.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Team Leader Intake and Response is an integral member of the leadership team at CASACV and works closely with other Team Leaders under the guidance and direction of the Therapeutic Services and Programs Manager. The role is responsible for ensuring intake, triage, assessment, referral management and case coordination services in meeting organisational and contractual obligations as well as driving continual quality improvement.

The role of Team Leader is to:

  • Provide effective clinical and organisational supervision to Counsellor/Advocates in accordance with CASACV’s Supervision policy.
  • Appropriately respond to referrals and enquiries received from MDC partner agencies, external professionals and members of the public
  • Regularly review the quality of service delivery with a continuous quality improvement lens.
  • Understand organisational performance requirements
  • Ensure that intake/allocation and wait list management is managed and monitored.
  • Maintain and develop networks with relevant professional groups and community-based organisations

ABOUT YOU

You are passionate about belonging to an exceptional team of individuals who share a vision of a community free of sexual assault and family violence.

With a Bachelor’s degree or above qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy or similar discipline, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • The ability to lead a team, including providing supervision, coaching / mentoring, performance and development.
  • Therapeutic expertise and a highly developed understanding of trauma informed practice and sexual assault, including the causes and impacts of sexual violence across the life course.
  • Proven skills in crisis intervention, identification of case management and therapeutic needs, mental health assessment and risk assessment.
  • Proven ability to lead and engage in practice dialogue and to provide advice and expertise regarding complex therapeutic matters.
  • Experience in leading change, including implementing new initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and negotiate across multiple systems with a high level of collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
