CASACV is a dynamic organisation offering a suite of specialist services to clients and community across the central Victoria region. We provide 24-hour crisis care support, therapeutic counselling, early intervention, professional education and training, and research. We provide outreach services across the Loddon region including a specialist service at Tarrengower Prison.
Safe, Thriving & Connected (STC) was developed and is delivered by The Loddon Gender Equality and Violence Prevention Consortium, who have a long history in working in partnership and are experienced service providers in the delivery of integrated and coordinated specialist family violence services and system responses across the Loddon area.
The STC Program is an innovative and integrated safety and recovery focused program that delivers specialist therapeutic interventions to victim survivors experiencing and/or recovering from family violence.
The role provides high qualitytrauma and violence therapeutic services to women, women and their children, young people and their families and adult victim/survivors. The role conducts assessments including specialised risk and safety assessments and therapeutic readiness, to inform the development of therapeutic treatment for clients.
You have a Bachelor degree level or higher qualification in a Health or Social Sciences related field such as Psychology, Social Work, Family Therapy, Counselling or related discipline. You have a demonstrated understanding of feminist practice and its application in responding to the gendered nature of violence against women and its impact on children and young people.
You bring demonstrated skills, including therapeutic assessment, crisis intervention, risk assessment and safety planning. Your knowledge of service systems, including family violence, community, criminal, legal, medical, generalist health, mental health will be vital to the success of this role.
