The Therapeutic Counsellor’s aim is to support the Gambler’s Help program which provides a regional Problem Gambling counselling and education service which focuses on behaviour change counselling, consultation and education for clients and their families.

Reporting to the Manager Behavioural Health Programs, the therapeutic counsellor provides high quality counselling to people experiencing the effects of problem gambling. They will also provide assessment, and referral functions, which maximise the ability of clients to function effectively in all aspects of their lives.

To be successful, you will require;

  • Undergraduate degree (or near completion) in Counselling, Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare & Counselling, Social Welfare or other Health related degree.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
  • Current Working with Children’s check.
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
