An exciting and challenging opportunity for a suitably experienced creative, passionate, innovative person with strong business acumen for the position of Art Development Specialist (Art Co-ordinator) is required to shape our Bindi Enterprises Arts Program through the next phase. This is a full time position, located in Alice Springs, Northern Territory.
The Art Development Specialist (Art Co-ordinator) will play a critical role in the success of the Gallery and team management, the position leads the concept and development of exhibitions and projects to fulfill the vision, mission and strategic objectives of the organisation.
The role of the Art Development Specialist (Art Co-ordinator) is to engage with artists to facilitate the production of artworks of a high standard, promote sales of artworks and facilitate the ongoing viability of the Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists studio. The ideal applicant will enjoy working in a diverse and busy environment with a high degree of people and public contact. In addition, the person will be culturally sensitive and have a strong awareness and commitment to working collaboratively with Aboriginal people, culture and local community to raise, advocate and promote Aboriginal Arts and Culture.
