This is an opportunity to join our Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists team in Alice Springs as Bindi Contracts Department Senior Support Worker/supervisor.

The role is focussed on providing person centred support to adult Supported Employees to create flexible and innovative workplace solutions that generate income for the people we support and the organisation.

Bindi Contracts department runs a variety of contracted works such as paper shredding, mail delivery and a thriving accessible art practice.

As a Senior Support Worker your responsibilities will include:

• Working with Supported Employees and assist in the design, creation and manufacturing of current and future contracted work and product development.
• Facilitate creative and innovative development whilst delivering business development opportunities
• Mentoring and development – guiding Supported Employees to explore and develop skills and daily goals
• Administering medication and adherence to individual support plans
• Completing clear, concise and factual notes and incident reports

What you will bring to make a difference in other’s lives

• Versatile communication skills including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers
• Current driver’s license and full access to an insured vehicle for transportation of customers if required (mandatory requirements)
• Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain) 
• Current First Aid Certificate, HLTAID003 (or be willing to obtain)
• Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageous
• Experience in disability support, a fine arts background and experience with admin duties preferred.
