About the role

This is new position and we are seeking a values driven, positive and highly experienced Aged Care Program Manager to lead and manage Aged Care services across The Kimberley, Goldfields and Perth Metro.

Reporting to the Operations Manager in Broome, this role will provide leadership, support and strategic direction of the management and growth of Aged Care Services across the state. The Aged Care Manager will actively engage and work collaboratively with Managers and their teams to establish, grow and embed a nationally consistent aged care service model of excellence.

This position would suit someone with management experience who is driven to lead and develop a team that delivers person centred and goal driven services to support our clients to live independently. We are looking for someone to contribute to the growth of LWB’s Home Based Aged Care Services in WA who is passionate about this sector.

This full time position can be based from either our Broome, Leederville (Perth Metro) of Kalgoorlie office. A Tool of Trade vehicle, laptop and iPhone are included.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build high performing teams to ensure quality services, staff satisfaction and client outcomes
  • Manage the aged care program, compliant with legislation, standards, contractual requirements and internal policy
  • Ensure delivery of program services in accordance with program budget, local business plans and in line with client needs and plans
  • Develop and maintain local operational and administrative systems and procedures to support the effective management of the program
  • Ensure a consistent standard of quality is delivered for program in accordance with regulations prescribed in relevant legislation and funding agency standards
  • Manage risks and issues arising in the course of service management
  • Promote and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners across Government and community
  • Advise and consult with all relevant parties, including the Operations Managers and Regional Directors regarding complex and sensitive matters
  • Support and promote the work of Life Without Barriers, maintaining a positive image of the organisation in accordance with level of position

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).   

Skills & Experience

  • Degree qualification in Human Services or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within the Aged Care sector
  • Demonstrated interpersonal/communication skills, including verbal, written and negotiation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage services and programs within a budget
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use initiative, think laterally and strategically, to meet deadlines and produce quality work under pressure
