About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important role to support and empower people with disability to live independently in a group home, in the community, and to develop skills and achieve their individual goals.

We are looking for experienced Disability Support Workers to join our Darwin team on a casual basis.

These roles will require successful applicants to be available and willing to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Skills & Experience 

  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar is desirable
  • Demonstrated Experience supporting People with an Intellectual Disability, Mental Health Illness and challenging behaviours 
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
  • Ability to maintain clients privacy and confidentiality
  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including weekends, nights and public holidays

To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or hold a valid medical exemption certificate. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
