Join our Group home in Doncaster East. You will be responsible for providing support with activities of daily living and developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Plans’ including personal care. In this role you will work to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with and for the clients within the house.

This is a part-time Max-Term position until Late May 2023, the roster details outlined as fortnightly hours is detailed below:

Roster Hours

  • Fortnight 1: 44:00 hours
  • Fortnight 2: 53:50 hours

This roster contains a mixture of day and afternoon shifts. No Sleep over shifts

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the day-to-day running of the house
  • Develop planned activities in line with policies and guidelines
  • Liaise with family members, medical services, departmental services, and external services to help meet client needs
  • Administer medication treatments and therapies according to prescribed protocols or otherwise, seek appropriate medical assistance
  • Implement development programs and identify and support learning opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Certificate 4 in Disability
  • A current First Aid Certificate
  • A current unrestricted Driver Licence
  • A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals of people with disabilities
  • A hands-on leader and team player with positive behaviour support experience and leadership capabilities able to actively promote and provide best practice support to clients whilst supervising and mentoring other team members
  • The ability to develop a positive relationship with service users and to support their Individual Personal Plan
  • Ability to apply behaviour management strategies in a complex and challenging environment
  • Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency is essential
  • Demonstrated compliance with NDIS requirements for Disability Support Workers
