About the role

This is a challenging but rewarding opportunity for you to make a positive change in the lives of People with a Disability. We are looking for Disability Support Workers in a Permanent Part-Time capacity in the South-East region:

  • Cranbourne
  • Cheltenham
  • Frankston
  • Aspendale Gardens

We have a number of permanent and casual vacant shift lines across the morning, afternoon and active nights.

You will facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes with service users in a positive and proactive environment. You will be actively supporting their individual needs and creating a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support clients with their wellbeing in line with their support needs/preferences
  • Provide day to day care (including personal care) and supervision
  • Assist clients to explore and participate in Community activities
  • Maintain & monitor client centred plans
  • Consistently establish rapport and collaborate effectively with service users and their families to achieve positive outcomes for service users.

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence
  • Certificate III in Community Welfare, Disability or similar
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate
  • Previous experience in providing complex behaviour support

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and relevant NDIS Clearances.  Also a Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
