About the Role

Our Lifestyle and Supported Independent Living teams within Tamworth are seeking new team members. As a dedicated, reliable and person-centred worker, you will support people with disability to live independently, develop and enhance their life skills and achieve their personal goals.

Lifestyle Program: You will support clients in their own homes or community based services. This includes, personal care, community access or domestic assistance.  

Supported Independent Living Program: You will support clients with complex behaviours of concerns within their own or group home environment. As these clients requires 24/7 support, it is important that you are available to work a variety of shifts including sleepover shifts and weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
  • Participate in community activities and encourage clients to perform daily living tasks
  • Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record keeping
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with our clients and their families

Skills & Experience

  • An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence
  • A current First Aid Certificate and the completion of the NDIS Orientation Module
  • Commitment to working a variety of shifts including weekends
  • Commitment to working across a variety of locations within the Hunter Region
  • Experience supporting people with disability or relevant transferrable skills

Successful candidates will be required to clear the required state based probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Workers Screening Check.
