About the role

Life Without Barriers supports our ageing community to remain living independently within their own home. Home Care Workers at Life Without Barriers work as a team to facilitate the delivery of quality services and achieve positive outcomes for clients across the Western and Northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Provide quality direct support to clients in line with their individual Care Plan by assisting with client personal care needs and/or domestic assistance
  • Support client’s skills, independence, and personal growth
  • Establish a rapport and collaborate effectively with clients and their carers
  • Attend, participate and contribute to team meetings and supervision meetings
  • Maintain and update professional skills by actively participating in training opportunities
  • Assist clients to access their community  

Skills & Experience  

  • Certificate III in Aged Care/Individualised Support
  • Current, full Drivers’ License plus a registered and insured vehicle
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
