Relationship Matters also provide Employee Assistance Programs, training and workplace consulting.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced self-motivated, client-focused family and relationship learning facilitator. You will facilitate our relationship programs whilst applying an understanding of adult learning theories in a culturally appropriate manner.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate relationship learning programs for groups, couples, families and individuals.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make necessary improvements to program content and process.
  • Disseminate information about relationship issues through use of various mediums and delivery styles, including online formats.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders, develop and maintain networks, and promote relationship education and other related Relationship Matters services to clients and the general community.
  • Maintain and record data as required by the organisation and stakeholders.

About you

You will be:

  • A client focused facilitator with demonstrated experience in relationship programs.
  • Tertiary qualified in Social/Behavioural sciences or Education or equivalent.
  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment will be highly regarded.
  • Proficient understanding of family relationship issues and intervention theories/models.
  • Experience working with LGBTIQ+ communities, children, people who use family violence and/or victim survivors is highly desirable.
  • Experienced in delivering community education, information and awareness programs
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation relating to relationship counselling, education and child safe standards.
  • Able to promote the profile of Relationship Matters across the community through providing professional, caring service delivery.
  • Proficient understanding of adult learning theories in a culturally appropriate manner.
  • Able to demonstrate knowledge of theories regarding power, intimacy and sexuality in relationships.
  • Highly proficient verbal and written skills.

A professional in your field, you can work independently while working within a cohesive, committed and high performing team. Together with your exceptional level of ethical standards and well-developed interpersonal communication skills, you will have the capacity to manage and ensure high standards of practice.

Previous experience working in a human services environment would be highly regarded.
