Who are we?

Lighthouse Foundation provides homes and therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse, and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where kids can feel safe, form meaningful relationships, and begin to heal from traumatic experiences. For the past 30 years, our proven Model of Care has successfully transformed the lives of over 1,000 young people using a range of evidence-based strategies. We now educate and support Foster Carers in the same way, so that they too can take care of some of Australia’s most vulnerable children.

How will I help?

Reporting to the Director of Fundraising & Marketing, you will use your imagination and skills to show Lighthouse Foundation of the way it should be through creative campaigns, appeals and meaningful donor experiences. This role will manage a small team and work across the organisation to ensure our vision, brand and strategy is clearly articulated, understood and embraced internally and externally. You will be passionate about young people and the community, thrive on new opportunities and be ready to roll up your sleeves to ensure you give your best. It is an exciting time at Lighthouse Foundation as we look well in the future with our newly implemented strategic plan, introducing a new CRM system, website development and brand refresh with award-winning agency, Hulsbosch. What do I need to be successful?

From a professional standpoint you will require:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar role (strategy creation and leading marketing/comms teams).
  • Tertiary Qualification in related discipline.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Track record of successful marketing & communication campaigns.
  • An ability to project manage multiple competing projects and their budgets (highly desirable).
  • A positive, ‘roll up your sleeves’ attitude/ be willing to take a hands-on-role in projects when required.
  • Be a confident communicator who can build relationships with all key stakeholders.

Other key skills which would be beneficial:

  • Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector.
  • Ability to use Canva, Wordpress and relevant graphic design tools.
  • Experience creating brand awareness through social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Tik Tok).
  • Understanding of current legal and compliance requirements within the not-for-profit sector.
