Lighthouse Foundation provides therapeutic care programs to children and young people impacted by long-term neglect, abuse and homelessness. Our focus is to create caring communities where young people can feel safe, form meaningful relationships and begin to heal.


  • Providing Therapeutic Case Management for young people
  • Developing stakeholder relationships within the community and be an effective advocate for young people
  • Working from a warm Lighthouse home setting, to form meaningful relationships
  • Managing a very small caseload of up to six young people to ensure high quality case management outcomes
  • Part of a culture in which young people and staff are truly valued and community members feel a sense of belonging

This role’s purpose is to support vulnerable young people to transition into meaningful independent living. The primary duties will involve a combination of care planning, delivery of individualised and community therapeutic interventions, and managing operations and culture in the home through Lighthouse’s Model of Care. The Therapeutic Case Manager employs a therapeutic approach within a multidisciplinary team to support young people in their care. The role will be primarily based from a Lighthouse home with one day a week in the Richmond Youth Resource Centre, and will require evening and weekend work.


  • Regular supervision from our Psychological Wellness Team
  • Group reflective practice sessions
  • Ongoing training and development through the Lighthouse Institute
  • Being part of a caring community, who really value you


  • A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or other higher level qualification in Social Work/Youth Work equivalent is essential. However, Lighthouse will employ applicants who commit to enrolling in a relevant qualification
  • Applicants must also complete the mandatory up skilling units as required by Department of Families, Fairness and Housing
  • Hold a current Working with Children Check (Employee)
  • Complete a National Criminal Records check, and participate in a psycho-social screen by Lighthouse
  • Provide consent for a Disqualified Carers Check
  • Hold a valid Victorian driver's licence
