Free Online English Classes Teachers (voluntary)

League of Latin American Migrants Australia - LLAMA INCORPORATED

ABOUT THE ORGANISATION:

Established on 20 September 2021, League of Latin American Migrants Australia (LLAMA INCORPORATED) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Melbourne which provides free English online sessions for the Spanish-speaking community in Australia. The free classes are also open to Latinos overseas who are considering coming to Australia in the future, but would like to improve their English first. In addition to free English classes, LLAMA provides informative free workshops and social activities for the Latin community in Australia.

LLAMA’s mission is to help international students, migrants, and the established members of Australia's Latin American community to integrate into Australian society through free online English classes and by familiarising Latinos with Australian culture.

LLAMA is a new organisation and growing quickly. Classes have begun and we will be launching our website and social media pages shortly. We are recruiting volunteer English teachers to expand the number and range of our classes.

ENGLISH CLASSES:

LLAMA runs different kinds of online English classes from basic to advanced level, 5 days a week from Monday to Friday at different hours from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm Melbourne time via Zoom. Classes are grouped by:

  • Grammar
  • Professional writing skills
  • University writing skills
  • English language skills to get a job
  • Australian English & slang/idioms
  • Pronunciation
  • IELTS tips
  • PTE tips
  • English vocabulary for work

Each session lasts an hour and a half, delivered in a friendly setting without the pressure of being in a classroom. This allows participants to share their experiences with other people who are in the same situation. Group sizes ranges from 5 to 20 individuals. Students are assigned to you, so there is no need to build up your own student base.
