We provide comprehensive early intervention services to young people aged 12 to 25 years experiencing a first episode of psychosis or at risk of developing psychosis.
The Mobile Assessment and Treatment Team (MATT) is a multi-disciplinary team working 365 days a year, from 8am – 8pm (10am-6pm weekends and public holidays) managing all referrals and enquiries to South-East Queensland headspace Early Psychosis.
Young people referred to the service are offered a triage and assessment that is young person centred and recovery focused, working in an outreach assertive engagement model. Their families and support networks are also offered support and information to help create the best outcome for the young person.
This position is based at headspace Southport and working across the Southeast Cluster (Gold Coast and Brisbane South).
Day-to-day work in MATT is varied and offers opportunities for comprehensive biopsychosocial assessment, clinical formulation development and planning comprehensive clinical recommendations around multiple areas including functional, medical, psychological, social domains and working closely with the case management team to support smooth transitions for those accepted into the program.
This work is done collaboratively with the MDT across the service and involves advocacy and clinical liaison with external providers and relevant stakeholders such as public health and other NGOs.
To be successful in the role, you need to be an engaging individual with the ability to connect with clients who are navigating mental health challenges and difficult life experiences. You must have a genuine passion and commitment to making a positive difference to young people and their family.
The base salary range for this role is $66,610 to $81,628 per annum + super, depending on experience.
