ABOUT THE ROLE

We now have an exciting opportunity for a Project Officer to join our forward-thinking headspace Team. This is a newly created part-time position within the team, working 3 days per week. This is a contract position until June 2023.

The role is based at headspace Southport and closely with our staff located in Southport and Upper Coomera.

In this role, you will manage and implement a range of projects, to improve service delivery and operations, to contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, groups and communities.

Your duties will include:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation and coordination of projects that deliver effective outcomes for our Youth Mental Health services.
  • Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects and the improvement of processes across youth mental health services and ensure the use of project management methodologies and processes to allow for consistent high-quality outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee aspects of projects and implementations, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, and monitoring budgets to ensure successful project milestones are met.
  • Prepare a range of project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets, and discussion papers to manage the flow of information.

ABOUT YOU

You will be passionate about youth mental health and will have previous experience in a similar position, ideally in the community services or health services sector.

Additionally, you will also possess the following skills and experience:

Essential:

  • Experience in project development and implementation
  • Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies and tools
  • Ability to plan a project and deliver on project milestones within a designated timeframe
  • Organised, self-directed and able to work autonomously while also taking direction and guidance when necessary
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelines
  • Naturally innovative and creative
  • Strong communication and administration skills
  • Hold a current Australian Drivers Licence

Desirable:

  • A broad understanding of the mental health service system in Australia
  • Experience working in a health and/or Not for Profit environment
  • Experience in working with Indigenous people, organisations, and communities

The base salary range for this role is $42.94 to $44.89 per hour depending on experience.
