At headspace, we support young people with mental health, as well as alcohol and other drug services. With a focus on early intervention, we work with young people to provide support at a crucial time in their lives – to help get them back on track and strengthen their ability to manage their mental health in the future. In everything we do, we aim to meet the evolving and unique needs of young people and those who support them.
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead – Youth Engagement to join our team. This is a newly created full-time position within the team.
The role is based at headspace Southport and working across the Southeast Cluster (Gold Coast and Brisbane South).
In this varied role, you will oversee and support to the Youth Engagement, Community and Lived Experience (YECLE) team, and work closely with the leadership team across the Youth Mental Health portfolio.
In this role you will coordinate internal and external facing activities, promote services for youth and facilitate processes that support participation and engagement.
You will work with headspace National, Orygen and other partners to implement and inform national strategy and program development.
Additionally, you will be integral in informing and developing policies and procedures relating to community awareness, participation and engagement, and peer support frameworks.
You are an engaging individual with who has experience as a manager or team leader, ideally in the community services sector, and a passion for mental health and wellbeing.

The base salary range for this role is $92,694 to $96,804 + super, depending on experience.
