Leichhardt Women's Community Health Centre provides low-cost and affordable medical, allied and complementary health care and education to improve women's health. We are non-government and not for profit. Many of our services are funded through NSW Health and some services are fee based.

We aim to always respect a woman’s circumstances and consider she is the expert on her own life experiences. We try to respond to her needs and wants in a confidential, safe, professional and approachable way.

The role

We are expanding our practice at Leichhardt Women’s Community Health Centre and an exciting opportunity exists to join our team of GPs, RN, allied and complementary health practitioners. It is a part time position, up to three days a week with generous salary packaging.

SELECTION CRITERIA

ESSENTIAL

• Experience as a General Practitioner and current national registration (VR).
• Family Planning certificate or working towards.
• Insight into health issues for women who have experienced disadvantage and violence.
• Familiarity with computerised medical records.
• Experience facilitating coordinated care for patients, e.g. mental health and chronic disease management plans.
• Excellent communication skills, written, oral and listening.

DESIRABLE

Specialist focus areas such as sexual / gynaecological health, eating disorders, or anxiety / depression will be attractive. Shortlisted applications will address the criteria.
