This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity based in Bendigo, VIC within our Out of Home Care Program.

Position Purpose

The House Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the daily care provided by Residential Carers within their allocated residential care unit. The House Supervisor is a part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the Residential Care Coordinator.

Primary Objectives

The primary objective of this position is to promote a safe, healthy and harmonious home environment for young people in our residential care homes. This is achievable through strong leadership as well as the use of learned therapeutic care techniques.

Key Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
  • Cert IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead and support a team of residential care workers.
  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.

  • Valid and current Driver’s Licence;
  • Satisfactory Criminal History Check;
  • Valid Working with Children Check;
  • Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed / client facing roles)
