**MacKillop Family Services are offering Hamilton Relocation Assistance Packages to successful candidates who are looking to make the move to Hamilton and work in our Residential Care Homes!**
We are looking for Permanent Part-time and Casual staff to provide care for young people who live in our new Hamilton Based, Residential Care Homes.
Vaccination against COVID-19 may be a requirement of appointment to this position.
Residential workers support young people that live in our staff-run homes. You will work in a dynamic team with support and ongoing training that promotes further learning and development. We encourage our workers to bring along any skills or hobbies that they might have to teach our young people new skills and prepare them for independent living.
Residential Care Workers are vital in addressing the therapeutic needs of young people and supporting their links with their families, where appropriate, and other social networks.

MacKillop’s Out of Home Care (OOHC) programs provide residential care, home based care, lead tenant and case management support for young people with high and complex needs, as well as a therapeutically oriented program for young people in protective placements.
Our Residential Services offers accommodation and support to children and young people who are referred through the Child Protection system. The Residential Care Worker is required to participate in the day to day operation of the unit, which includes responding to the young person’s emotional and functional needs, the development of their personal skills, all administrative requirements and household duties.
This role reports to the relevant Residential House Supervisor, who will provide supervision. This role has no direct reports and works in a team environment with other team members.
