Marist180 (www.marist180.org.au) is a not-for-profit organisation committed to creating positive change for vulnerable young people and their families. Marist180 is now looking for a qualified Psychologist, Mental Health Nurse or Social Worker to join our team who has a depth of experience in working with clients who have experienced complex trauma, within the child protection system.
Use your expertise to assess and address the needs of children and young people as well as provide clinical support and training to staff within the agency. Reporting to the Senior Therapeutic Specialist, this role is a part of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDST) and works very closely with direct care staff, caseworkers and families to lead and supervise the development and delivery of a range of assessments, treatments and intervention services to Marist180 clients. You will also ensure that all decisions reflect the needs of the child or young person and are guided by principles of permanency planning.
Apart from the Therapeutic Specialist, the MDST may include the following Allied Health Professionals: Psychologist, Family Specialist, Community Engagement and Learning Officer, Lead Psychologist, Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist.

Applicants who have training and experience in working in disability services, drug and alcohol, mental health and juvenile criminal justice will be highly regarded.
Successful applicants will be subject to background checks including a National Criminal History Check and a verification of your Working with Children’s Check.
