About the role

As part of the Leisure and Lifestyle team you will ensure the design, development and implementation of special programs to meet the needs of residents, helping to provide quality of life and enjoyment whilst in care.

As Leisure and Lifestyle Officer you will conduct programs to support the autonomy and independence of each resident, by creating a fun and relaxing environment.

Calvary Nazareth Retirement Community in Belmont North provides quality care and support to 50 permanent residents, has a dementia-secure unit and offers respite accommodation services and independent living.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Leisure & Lifestyle Officer for a Permanent Full Time Position.

What you bring 

  • Leisure & Lifestyle Certificate Level IV or other relevant qualification
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Experience in the planning, implementation and evaluation of activities for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities
  • Ability to document assessments, care plans and progress notes
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs and interests of residents
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Current influenza and COVID-19 Vaccinations
  • An interest in working with residents living with Dementia and a passion for enriching activity programming
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
