Marymead is a well-respected, community based, not-for-profit organisation that has provided a range of support services to children, young people and their families since 1967. Marymead now operates throughout the southern and western regional areas of NSW as well as the ACT with offices in Goulburn, Wagga Wagga, Young, Moruya and Canberra. Marymead is seeking to fill the position outlined below.
This is a full-time position based in the rural town of Young, NSW and services families in the local area. Family Preservation Case Managers work with children, young people, parents and extended families to enhance natural supports, build parenting capacity for primary caregivers and work with families to ensure their homes remain safe, supportive and nurturing.
Family Preservation Case Managers are responsible for delivering therapeutic case management, underpinned by Circle of Security, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) & other models that may be deemed suited to particular families. Family Action Plans’ goals are focused on the preservation of the family unit and prevention of children entering the NSW OOHC system. To achieve this the enhancement of primary care givers’ skills and ability to meet their child’s social, emotional, physical and psychological needs will be the primary therapeutic target.

A police clearance conducted by Marymead and NSW Working with Children Check (at own expense) are a minimum requirement for this position. A current unrestricted driver’s licence is also essential. Employment at Marymead is subject to a 3 month probationary period with the option of extension.
