Marymead has been operating in the Canberra and surrounding NSW regions for 50 years, delivering therapeutic and support services to meet the needs of children, young people, and families in the community. We are now searching for a Unit Manager to lead our Family Services unit. As part of the Client Services Group of Marymead, the Family Services team provides a range of individual and group counselling services to parents, carers, and families. The programs in this unit include KAYAKS (Kids and Youth Are Kool post-Separation); ARCK (Assisting Responsible Care for Kids); Family Skills (group education) and the Children's Contact program. The team aims to provide efficient and effective services to clients, the Government, other agencies, and families.
With the support of the Director and Executive Manager, the Unit Manager of Family Services will take responsibility for the delivery of these programs and the role will include budget management, reporting to funding bodies, liaison with stakeholders, and management of the people to ensure functions are delivered. At a program level, the position has line management responsibilities for the culture and performance of the team, ensuring that systems, policies and procedures, effective communications, training, and other supports are in place for the provision of high quality and effective service to meet the organisations goals and objectives and service delivery standards.
The Unit Manager of Family Services is a permanent full-time position and will be based at our Narrabundah office. As a non-profit employer, Marymead is able to provide staff with access to generous salary packaging arrangements.
You will also have presentation and group facilitation experience coupled with a solid understanding of clinical approaches, models, and theories that underpin therapeutic interventions
