ABOUT THE ROLE

The Clinical Nurse would be a Registered Nurse with a minimum 5 years experience and have the ability to manage the designate nursing unit staff and care recipients using contemporary Gerontic Nursing practices and knowledge. Working within our experienced team, including Director of Residential Care, Clinical Nurse Manager, Clinical Nurse and a team of Registered nurses and Enrolled nurses. The Clinical Nurse role is a Monday to Friday position; offering flexibility to support work/life balance and is situated in Port Lincoln, South Australia.

KEY DUTIES

  • Clinical care and assessments
  • Care plan development and implementation
  • Assessment of care recipients including ACFI knowledge and experience
  • Medication management
  • Wound management
  • Palliative care
  • GP Management
  • Quality Control and Improvements
  • Education and Care Staff support
  • Allied Health referrals and coordination
  • Infection Control
  • Communication & problem solving with Care Recipients and representatives
  • Stock Management
  • Immunisation experience is highly desirable.

DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • Registered Nurse with a minimum 5 years experience
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Current National Police Check
  • Pass a pre-employment medical
  • Provide Evidence of 2021 Influenza Vaccination
