The McGrath Foundation is a loved and trusted Australian brand funding 162 incredible McGrath Breast Care Nurses across Australia. These nurses provide life-changing care and support for families going through Breast Cancer.

We are looking for a Nursing Program Senior Manager who will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the national McGrath Breast Care Nurse program as well as key strategic projects to enhance the program.

If successful, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the smooth implementation and continued development of the McGrath BCN Program
  • Providing line management and leadership for the Nursing Program Officers
  • Streamlining the Program to enhance and improve efficiencies and effectiveness
  • Responsibility for the engagement and professional development strategy for MBCNs and ensure all issues are managed in a timely manner and escalated appropriately
  • Working with the Clinical Leaders to ensure high levels of support for MBCNs

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications, ideally in a health care field
  • At least four years’ experience in a health-related field with a demonstrated passion and understanding of health care
  • Proven experience leading high performing teams
  • Experience in stakeholder management with strong interpersonal, conflict resolution, relationship management and diplomacy skills
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to manage several projects at once, make sound judgments, prioritise work and to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
