An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available within McAuley’s flagship advocacy project ‘Safe at Home’. This project has been working with other family violence and homelessness service on solutions that will mean more women who choose to, can stay safely in their homes after family violence, rather than becoming homeless.

About the role

The Advocacy Projects Officer is a member of the Advocacy, Marketing & Fundraising team. The role is to ensure the smooth running of advocacy activities, and co-ordinate stakeholder engagement activities related to McAuley’s Safe at Home project. The role will also include high-level project and administrative support, monitoring of project implementation, and secretariat function to ‘Safe at Home’ workshops and meetings.

About You

You will have:

  • A degree qualification in social sciences or communication with 2 years relevant experience
  • An understanding of, and commitment to the mission of McAuley, its philosophy and core values
  • High level administrative skills in organising events and meetings as well as keeping track of project objectives and milestones
  • The ability to deal with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders professionally and confidently
  • A respectful and sensitive approach to working with victim-survivors
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
