McAuley Community Services for Women is seeking an independent contractor to deliver 18 free psychological interventions for women and children who are homeless due to family violence and mental illness. Depending on the applicants availability, we are happy to consider 2 to 3 independent contractors.
McAuley is a ministry of the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea. We are committed to the creation of a world in which violence and homelessness can be eradicated and in which women and children can participate on their own terms; safe, supported and empowered to achieve their highest potential.
McAuley, in collaboration with the North Western Melbourne Primary Health Network (NWMPHN), will provide a specialist counselling program called Targeted Psychological Support Services (TPSS). The program will provide up to 18 free psychological interventions for women and children who are homeless due to family violence and mental illness. The 18 sessions are per client and can be delivered over a 12 month period or less.
For this position, we are only accepting female applicants.
We are seeking registered private practitioners to deliver psychological intervention.
The successful applicant will have:
An existing Medicare provider number is not required, as referrals will come via a Mental Health Care plan. A CAREinMIND referral form will be utilised.
Remuneration will be based on each 60-minute session delivered $120 – 130 per hour, depending on your qualifications.
