The Company

Medicines Development for Global Health develops medicines and vaccines for neglected diseases. Our approach is to bring together the ideas of researchers with our development expertise and passion to develop new products that will be life changing for millions. We are a non-profit company - all funds in excess of expenses are devoted to this purpose.

Our team brings a depth of expertise from within the pharmaceutical and global health sectors in clinical studies, project management, pharmaceutical development and regulatory submissions. With a growing product portfolio, we are looking for an experienced Development Manager to join our expanding team.

The Role

Working as part of a cross-disciplinary team, your role is to project manage the planning and implementation of global drug development activities. Some of your responsibilities:

  • Work with project teams to create development plans for selected indications, including work-plans, timelines and budgets
  • Develop and maintain master project plans (in Microsoft Project)
  • Track and update all activities and associated timelines to meet changing project needs
  • Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation plans
  • Facilitate strong communication between different functions contributing to project teams
  • Manage interactions with external collaborators
  • Coordinate development team meetings including identification of key issues for discussion, preparation of agendas, pre-reading, minutes and status updates

About you

You will be an outstanding communicator able to work across functions and with experts to ensure the right information is provided for key decisions. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a pharmaceutical project management role, strong attention to detail and a team focus. You will also manage your time effectively to work in a global team, using the flexibility you need to maintain work-life balance. A degree in science or a health-related discipline is essential, with relevant post-graduate qualifications and/or formal project management training highly regarded. For optimal teamwork across time-zones, Australian or Asia-Pacific based candidates preferred.
